ABSTRACT
Continuous flow chemistry technology has been used for the formation of benzotropolone core, the main structural motif of a family of polyphenolic natural products that presents very interesting biological activities. The article describes a robust and efficient methodology to access this type of structures and further demonstrates the suitability of continuous flow processing for the preparation of a synthetic derivative that has been recently described as a potent epigenetic modulator
