In some cases, surface modification and /or functionalization will be employed to modulate its properties.2- Characterization of morphology, crystalline structure, composition and optical properties of nanoparticles using X-rays diffraction, electron microscopy, UV-visible and IR spectroscopies and dynamic light scattering.3- Fabrication of nanostructured hybrid materials through the encapsulation of plasmonic nanoparticles in tridimensional metal organic frameworks in aqueous media in a fast and easy way. Structural and compositional characterization through different techniques (see item 2).4- Fabrication of encoded nanoparticles using Raman active molecules for the use as chemical sensors based on Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS).5- Development and evaluation of chemical sensors and biosensors.
