Goals: Build and implement a twelve-week training program three times a week with bodyweight and ball exercises. Evaluate morphological, physical fitness and health variables and apply the training program to the police. Evaluate to what extent the training program influenced these variables, as well as perceive what happens after three months without this type of training. Sample 60 police members of 168 belonging to the Intervention Corps of the Outstanding Force of the special Police Unit of the Public Security Police in Porto, male, with an average age of 43 years. Randomly divided into three groups, a control group (CG) to be evaluated for morphological variables, physical fitness and health, supervised exercise group (GES), who will be evaluated for the variables and applied the program of training supervised by the doctorate, exercise group by prescription (GEP) to whom will be made the evaluation of variables and provided the training plans for execution freely. Variables to evaluate Morphological variables (height, weight, BMI, percentage of fat mass, percentage of lean mass, bone mineral density, body water, basal and active metabolism); Physical fitness variables (aerobic power, lower and upper limb power, manual grip strength, resilient upper and abdominal limb strength, lumbar and hamstring flexibility); Health variables (blood pressure, resting heart rate, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, blood glucose, cortisol, and C-reactive protein). Hypotheses: Improvement of morphological, physical fitness and health variables in exercise groups; Better results in the supervision group; Loss of the improvements of the variables after three months without subjection to the training program.
