AB Current cellular networks have an architecture defined by 3GPP, which manages traffic through numerous devices and protocols designed specifically for this type of networks.We believe, however, that these networks can be built following an architecture more similar to the Internet, that is, using general-purpose routers controlled using the SDN paradigm. Thus, greater flexibility and adaptability will be achieved, with the aim of satisfying the various requirements imposed by the different types of connectivity that cellular networks intend to support, and especially 5G networks and their successors.
