Inland tourism was key to overcoming the 2008 crisis and is being particularly so in the post-COVID stage. Hence, in the academy it is a central theme to highlight the value of this product and the need to influence quality to continue attracting a selective demand that seeks an experiential tourism very different from mass tourism. This is reflected by the study object of this chapter, on the role of territorial quality and landscape for inland tourism. The contributions are collected during the period 2000–2022, authored by Spanish geographers. They show cast this touristic product’s singularity and potential within the framework of a strategy of its own territory and its controversy and current risks. Finally, and as a representative situation, the case of the Matarraña region (Teruel) is brought up, where tourism strategies based on territorial quality and landscape are colliding with the implementation of renewable energy macro-projects.
