AB The general objectives of our research are to present a proposal for a management plan that can lead to improving the sustainability and long-term viability of tourism in small historic cities. Bearing in mind that in the planning andmanagement of tourism activity, understanding the perceptions and attitudes of the various stakeholders is essential, we outline the following specific objectives: Describe the profile of the visitor, as well as their opinion about themanagement performed; Assess the support that residents give to management based on STD principles; To know the perception and attitudes of wealth managers regarding the STDprinciples in management; Knowing the importancethat Tour Operators, Hoteliers and Accommodation Owners attribute to destination management based on STD principles Knowing the vision of the Public Power phase to STD and, finally, proposing actions that allow theconstruction of a STD plan for the historic city of Lamego, based on the perceptions and attitudes of the various stakeholders (visitors, residents, wealth managers, tour operators, hoteliers, accommodation owner and Local Government)
